Nokia believes it ain’t over ’till the fat lady sings. Banking on its partnership with Microsoft,
the Finnish cell phone maker is gearing to dominate the global market
once again with a confirmation of its Windows-powered tablet.
In an interview with French newspaper Les Echos, head of Nokia France
Paul Amsellem says its new tablet, which he describes as an
“interesting opportunity,” will run Microsoft Windows 8 operating
system. The tablet intends to compete with Apple’s iPad.
Although Amsellem states the tablet will be launced in June 2012, a
spokesperson for Nokia remains mum, saying the company does not have
“any specific plans as it relates to tablets.”
