Nokia and Microsoft has unveiled the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, Nokia’s first Window Phone devices in India. Both the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710
were unveiled at the Nokia World 2011 in London. The Nokia Lumia 800
has a unibody design and comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels)
ClearBlack AMOLED display. The Nokia Lumia 700 comes with a 3.7-inch
(800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack TFT display. Both these devices are
powered by 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Scorpion CPU and runs on Windows
Phone 7.5 (Mango) OS.
Both these devices come with a 512 MB RAM. The Lumia 800 has 8 MP
auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, LED flash and 720p video
recording and has 16 GB Internal Memory. The Lumia 710 has 5 MP auto
focus camera, LED flash and 720p video recording and has 8GB Internal
Memory. The connectivity features include, 3G HSDPA 14.4 Mbps and HSUPA
5.76 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and A-GPS.
These phones come with Zune Music Player, Nokia Music and mixradio,
free online streaming service, 3.5 mm audio jack and Stereo FM radio.
The Nokia Lumia 800 comes with 1450 mAh battery and the Nokia Lumia 710
comes with 1300 mAh battery. These also come with Xbox live integration,
IE9 browser, Facebook and Twitter integration, Nokia Drive with 3D maps
and turn by turn navigation voice guided navigation in 50 languages
including Hindi and dedicated in-car-user-interface, Nokia Music,
Contact Transfer, App Highlights. The Nokia Music and Mixradio would be
available in India in the first half of 2012.
The Nokia Lumia 800 comes in Cyan, Black and Pink colors and the
Nokia Lumia 710 comes with range of interchangeable colors and would be
available across key cities and towns starting mid-December in 5000
retail outlets across India. The prices of these phones have not
been announced yet. Both devices will be available for pre-order
starting early December.
No doubt that Lumia 800 is having better configurations and features
than 710. In
India, Nokia Lumia 800 is expected to cost around Rs. 29,000 while Lumia
700 will be available for around Rs. 18,000. This way, Nokia and
Windows Phone will start their mobile market in India with two different
sections.
Lumia 800 is a powerful phone with 1.4 GHz Qualcomm processor, 8 MP
camera, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, Gorilla glass display and much more.
And specially the Mango version of Windows Phone has got nice review
specially the integration with Microsoft’s products like Office 360,
Windows Live etc.
